CLIC Digital Collections : Concordia University

What is the Cooperating Libraries In Consortium?

Cooperating Libraries In Consortium (CLIC) is a non-profit federation of the libraries of seven private colleges and universities in Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Participating library communities work to improve library resources and services through cooperative efforts, including the CLIC Digital Collections.

What is the Cooperating Libraries in Consortium Digital Project?

Recognizing the strength of unique institutional holdings and having the desire to share these resources, members of CLIC began a Digital Initiative in 2007. After exploring the available options, participating institutions selected CONTENTdm. Member schools have since undertaken the ongoing responsibility of selecting, organizing, sharing, and preserving a variety of resources (i.e. audio, textual, still photos) using this content management software.

The goals of this project include:

  • • To provide improved and more comprehensive resources and services through the enhanced sharing of materials made possible by CONTENTdm.
  • • To provide opportunities for staff collegiality, leadership and training. Participating members have the opportunity to enhance their understanding of digital information management and collection creation and preservation.

About the Institutional Collections

Each of the seven CLIC institutions develops its collections by selecting materials and adding content according to institutional needs and resources. Collections include both purchased materials for classroom use and archival resources for research. A description of each collection is found on the respective institutional page.

Please note that this is an ongoing project. Collection size and variety will continue to change and grow.

Policies

  • Collection availability varies. Some collections are widely available while others are limited to institution only. See institutional pages to determine use requirements.
  • The items in these collections are for research purposes only and are not to be reproduced or used in a commercial setting. Requests for permission to use material should be addressed to the owning institution.

Please direct any questions or concerns to the appropriate institutional representative:
