Cooperating Libraries In Consortium (CLIC) is a non-profit federation of the libraries of eight private colleges and universities in Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Participating library communities work to improve library resources and services through cooperative efforts, including the CLIC Digital Collections.
Recognizing the strength of unique institutional holdings and having the desire to share these resources, members of CLIC began a Digital Initiative in 2007. After exploring the available options, participating institutions selected CONTENTdm. Member schools have since undertaken the ongoing responsibility of selecting, organizing, sharing, and preserving a variety of resources (i.e. audio, textual, still photos) using this content management software.
The goals of this project include:
Each of the eight CLIC institutions develops its collections by selecting materials and adding content according to institutional needs and resources. Collections include both purchased materials for classroom use and archival resources for research. A description of each collection is found on the respective institutional page.
Please note that this is an ongoing project. Collection size and variety will continue to change and grow.
