About this collection

Mary William Brady, CSJ was the fifth President of the College of St. Catherine (now St. Catherine University). She held the position from 1955 to 1961.

The bulk of this collection is correspondence from her time as president and faculty member, including letters to and from other school administrators, businesses, priests, sisters, and lay people. The collection also includes speeches given in her roles as president and educator.

Not all items in the Mary William Papers are available online. There are additional materials from her time as a faculty member in the English department. The papers also contain personal correspondence and biographical information. For more information, see the Guide to the Mary William Brady Papers.
