RECENT GIFTS TO AUGSBURG
SUGGEST WAYS OF GIVING
Recent gifts to Augsburg College suggest
various ways of supporting Christian higher
The gift list includes contributions to a
memorial fund honoring the late Dr. Mario
Colacci, chairman of the Department of Classical Languages.
Other contributions include the addition of
$1,000 to the annuity program of a Southern
Minnesota widow and a gift representing ten
percent of a sizeable estate.
Members of the Augsburg College Board of
Regents and individuals from the metropolitan
business community also made recent contributions.
Many of the gifts were designated for
specific funds or purposes. A gift from the
Augsburg Women's Club, placed in the Parents
Student Assistance Fund (PSAF), made
$7,500 available for student scholarships.
A portion of a special 75th anniversary
thank offering from St. Luke's Lutheran Church
in Minneapolis was given as an Augsburg
The college has received its first payment
from the Lutheran Ingathering For Education
(LIFE) campaign of the American Lutheran
Church (ALC). The ALC also presented the
college with current funds for the first quarter
of the year and another gift for capital funds.
